    Family Fly-Tying and Casting
    The Natural Resource Education Center will be hosting a Family Fly-Tying and Casting program. If you are interested in participating in this program, please call 207-695-3705 to reserve your space. The schedule is as follows: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM are for families with children 12 and under. From 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM are for families with children 13 and over and from 1:30 - 3:00 PM ther will be a Fly-Casting workshop.

    Maine Birding
    Wildlife biologist Ron Joseph of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will present a Maine Birding slide show program at 7:00 PM at the Greenville Community House. For those who are interested, following the his presentation, Ron invites us to join him on an owl prowl near Wiggins Brook, Greenville Jct. We shou hear barred owls and possibly saw-whet owls. Ron will attempt to elicit a response from a territorial barred owl by imitating an owl call with his voice

    Each spring the Moosehead Lake Region hosts a month long celebration honoring the regions favorite resident-"The Moose." Some of the scheduled events, include: Moose River Canoe Race, A Craft Fair, Kid's Fun Day and Famous Moose Tales. Fun for the entire family.

    An event of the Moosehead Lake Region's Moose Mainea Celebration. A yearly race starting on the west shores of Brassua Lake, flowing down the Moose River to the waters of Moosehead Lake. Several classes including: Racing, Recreational, Wooden Canoe, Kayak, Corporate Challenge. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd & 3rd places in all categories. Sponsored by the Moosehead Lake Vacation & Sportsman's Association.
