    Plant and Bake Sale
    The Moosehead Lake Garden Club will hold it's annual plant & bake sale on Friday, July 3, 8-3, at Indian Hill Trading Post. Locally grown perennials, herbs, annuals and house plants will be on sale as well as delicious homemade baked good. The garden club plants and maintains Thoreau Park and the Welcome sign gardens. Please call for more information or to donate plants/baked goods.

    July Fourth Celebrations
    The Fourth's events include a Parade at 11:00 am through Greenville. At 9:00 am a Crafts Fair with food vendors and children's games at Greenville's East Cove. Live music by the REMOTES (formerly the Barn Cats) on Prithan Avenue and of course once again the town of Greenville will provide the largest display of fireworks in Piscataquis County. The children's bike parade will take place at 1:00 pm at the Katahadin parking lot.

    Landscaping Workshop for Moosehead Area
    A Landscaping Workshop focusing upon waterfront landscaping will be sponsored by the Friends of Wilson Pond area, in cooperation with the U. of Maine and Town of Greenville. Topics include: design elements, plant selection, ecological considerations, erosion and water quality impact, pathways to the water, use of fertilizers, rain gardens and infiltration trenches. Additional topics ar shoreland zoning regulations and local project permit requirements. Cost: Donation. Pre-registration appreciated.     36th Annual International Seaplane Fly-In
    The Fly-In occurs the weekend after Labor Day. The weekend consists of Float Plane competitions, educational exhibits, the Moosehead Lake Region's largest craft fair, lots of food and much more. Land and float plane pilots from all over the country and world fly to our waters to enjoy this yearly tradition at Moosehead.
